Covenham Sailing Club

Historically the club has held an Annual dinner at a local venue where awards were presented for race series and other recognitions.

This year we would like to welcome members to the new 2024 season at the club House FRIDAY 2ND FRBRUARY with food . A great opportunity to meet members from all areas of the club wing wind sail paddleboarders youth and sailability sections.

You might want to try something new!

Holding it at the club will keep costs down too.

Its post Christmas we still have cost of living pressures.

We hope this way full families will come along

Friday night means no school and fewer working next day.

The bar will be open for soft drinks .

You welcome to bring own alcohol, and preferably a designated driver

If interested please message me with numbers.

Any special dietary needs.

We haven't had an event like this for a while. We would love to see you on the night.

We hold a few social events each year so that members can socialise together. These include:

​

• A Welcome To The New Season Night -  a social evening at the club for all members with food and non alcoholic drinks available. (Bring your own alcohol if you wish). There may be some trophies presented (quickly) and a short speech by the Commodore

• A sailability quiz night - this is a fundraising event which attracts a large number of members each year from all areas of the club. This is held at the clubhouse and is a good fun night which gets your brain thinking hard.

• A rules night - this normally happens at the start of the season to get everyone ready for the new season. This normally includes a fish and chip supper and is the chance to learn the rules of sailing so you're ready to race.

• Chilli night - on a Thursday night after sailing, there is a chilli supper on offer in the club and it is a chance for members to stay and chat with the other members.
