The Moonlight Race happens every year on the last Thursday of evening racing, after which the evenings are too short for us to sail. It is different due to the fact it happens in the twilight and ends in the dark.  Racers have to decorate their boats so that it is safe for them to race and can be seen, even though a trophy is awarded to the first place boat, this race is also a fun night to top off the evening sailing season. A prize is awarded to the best-decorated boat.

In 2024 the event is programmed to be on Thursday the 12th September.
